Goodbye Summer, Hello Winter!

Posted on Sep 9, 2014

While here in Toronto we are experiencing a welcome Indian Summer, Calgary and the Rocky Mountain foothills recently received over 30cm of snow over a two day period. The unexpected weather event was an early reminder that skiing/winter – and Adbloc season – is fast approaching! While Calgarians were displeased by the weather-turn, at Adbloc Media we are very excited for the upcoming ski season, with forecasters predicting this year to be characterised by heavy snowfalls. Media activity, like Alberta snow, is also ahead of schedule, with lots of interest from current and new clients...

They’re Back! Subaru Re-Ups with Adbloc Media

Posted on Jul 15, 2014

Skiers love Subaru and Subaru loves skiers. Adbloc Media is pleased to announce Subaru has signed on for another Out-of-Home campaign for the 2014/2015 ski season, building on last year’s successful Adbloc chairlift advertising program. Subaru has historically connected with skiers and it’s paying off in spades. In our 2014 Car & Skier video survey of over 2,500 vehicles at ski areas across Canada, Subaru’s presence on-mountain was 3 times its market share among the general population. Adbloc Travelling Office

If you love “Footie” and its upcoming quadrennial celebration in Brasil there’s no better city than Toronto to be a fan. Posted on Mar 6, 2014

Slovakia’s ski areas are quickly becoming a go-to destination for European skiers seeking great terrain, modern lifts, superb apres-ski and pricing that is a fraction of the cost of vacationing at the more fashionable “Fifth Avenue” ski areas of Austria, France, Switzerland, Germany and Italy. Can Adbloc Hyper-Target? Rogers That!

Posted on Feb 20, 2014

Audience targeting doesn’t get much more precise than wanting to reach French-speaking consumers in the Gatineau region of Quebec during the month of March. Nevertheless, when Rogers came calling Adbloc Media was able to step up, hyper-targeting three ski areas; Camp Fortune, Edelweiss and Mont Ste.-Marie – all in the Gatineaus – for the desired flight. While Adbloc Media may be better known for national campaigns on behalf of Subaru, Sony, Scotiabank, Danone and Mazda, our extensive network of ski areas and chairlifts allows us to reach our client’s desired audience precisely...
