Adbloc Media is pleased to announce Merck Canada Inc. as our newest advertising partner.

Merck Canada Inc. has committed to a national Adbloc campaign that will give the global pharmaceutical firm a significant presence for two of its popular consumer brands at a dozen prominent ski areas including Mont Tremblant, Lake Louise and Mount St. Louis Moonstone. Adbloc is a unique media that positions the advertiser’s brand and message on the safety bar of the ski chairlift, literally in-the-face of an affluent captive consumer for 7 minutes at a time.

Peter Kobayashi, Managing Partner of Adbloc Media, noted, “Skiers and snowboarders across our network will spend more than 20 million minutes sharing the chair with the Merck brand and message”. Kobayashi added, “Adbloc is unavoidable. Skiers are held captive in the chair by a 1” steel bar and a 40 foot drop. Adbloc has no off button. What else will the skier do for 7 minutes?”
